
Another primary USC target is set to reveal his decision Thursday. WR Derwin Burgess of Riverdale, GA will report his choice at 1:00 PM on Twitter, and he’s choosing from USC, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida State and Coastal Carolina. Burgess visited USC with his mother in January and had panned to return March 28th, but by then a recruiting dead period was in place. Burgess is rated as a three-star prospect and had 28 catches for 463 yards and 5 touchdowns last season.
Also scheduled to announce a commitment Thursday is Dillon WR Ahmari Huggins-Bruce. He has plenty of big time offers but not from USC or Clemson. His most recent favorites list was Southern Cal, Baylor, NC State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Pitt, Georgia Tech, TCU, Arkansas, Michigan State and Duke. Last season Huggins-Bruce caught 50 passes for 1003 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’s a three-star prospect and ranked #5 in South Carolina.
Marion DE TJ Sanders is now ready to announce his commitment. After sending out tweets stating his commitment was coming soon, and asking for someone to get him an edit quickly, Sanders told us he’s looking at a “few days” before making his announcement. USC was the first to offer and has been on him hard. Some of his other offers are Wake Forest, West Virginia, Syracuse, Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, Duke, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia, NC State and East Carolina.
TE Jalen Shead of Olive Branch, MS included USC in his top ten. The othes are Florida State, Southern Cal, UCF, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Kansas State, TCU and Arkansas.
LB Naquan Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, who had an early offer from USC, committed to LSU.
DE Dallas Turner of Ft. Lauderdale, who had offers from both USC and Clemson, committed to Alabama
ATH Jaylin Smith of Mission Hills, CA, who had a Clemson offer, committed to Southern Cal.
WR Christian Lewis of Pleasant Grove, AL, who also had an offer from USC, committed to Kentucky.
2022 CB Zayveon Wells of Lakewood was offered by South Alabama.
Clemson made the top-10 for 2021 SF Eric Van Der Heijden out of Raleigh, NC. Iowa, Wake Forest, Texas, Providence, Ole Miss, Maryland, Marquette, Louisville and Cincinnati are the other nine.
Clemson target 6-7 Jordan Nesbitt of St. Louis was offered by Arkansas.
6-8 Ian Schieffelin of Loganville, GA was offered by the College of Charleston. He also has a Clemson offer.
Wofford landed a commitment from 6-9 Dante Kiesenhofer of Holly Springs, NC.
