Grad transfer infielder Joe Satterfield is moving from Elon to USC. He played his high school baseball at JL Mann. In the shortened season of 2020, Satterfield hit .343 with 1 home run and 2 doubles in 35 at-bats. He also walked 7 times. On defense he committed 1 error in 32 chances. For his career at Elon Satterfield hit .291 with 12 homers and 97 RBIs. Satterfield was first team All-CAA after the 2019 season and was the team’s MVP.

USC target LB Tavareon Martin-Scott of Dodge City JC, KS was offered by Texas Tech.

Boiling Springs DB Caden Sullivan committed to Appalachian State.

2022 CB Zayveon Wells (5-10 170) of Lakewood was offered by East Carolina.

2022 OC Eli Henderson of Byrnes was offered by Arizona State.

USC in the final three with DE Shemar Pearl (6-6 235) of Garden City JC, KS. He also has Texas Tech and Missouri on his short list for his announcement June 18th. Pearl is a native of Plano, TX and was rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports as a high school senior when he had 75 tackles and 11 sacks. At that time he committed to Missouri but had to go to junior college. He also had offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Kansas, Purdue, Arkansas, Indiana, Minnesota and Missouri. Last season at Garden City Pearl had 22 tacklesd and 2 sacks.

DE Jahvaree Ritzie (6-5 235) of Kernersville, NC announced a commitment to North Carolina Fridaynight over USC, Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio State. The Gamecocks appeared to be in strong shape with Ritzie after visits last spring and again for a game last season, but sentiment over time has shifted to North Carolina where he will join teammate and fellow commitment LB Raneiria Dillworth. Ritzie is rated a four-star prospect. Last season he had 74 tackles with 18.5 tackles for loss and 6 sacks.

RB AJ Green of Tulsa, who had USC in his top eight, committed to Arkansas Friday night. The others on his short list were Oklahoma State, LSU, Michigan, Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

Former USC commitment DB Demarko Williams of Atlanta committed to Ole Miss.

Rusty Mansell of 247Sports reported USC is in the lead group with ATH Jayden Johnson of Cedartown, GA as he’s getting close on a decison. Georgia Tech, Oklahloma and Arkansas are the others in the hunt.

USC offered 2021 TE Jalen Shead (6-4 235) of Olive Branch, MS. Some of his other offers are Colorado, Florida State, Louisville, Memphis, TCU and Ole Miss.

Clemson is in the top 10 with 2022 SAF Dasan McCullough (6-5 215) of Overland Park, KS. He also has Florida, Florida State, Texas, Nebraska, Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, Southern Cal and Oklahoma. He’s from the same city as former Clemson star safety Isaiah Simmons, and like Simmons is viewed as a versatile athlete who can play several spots, including safety. He has a four-star rating by 247Sports and is ranked the #8 athlete nationally and #1 prospect in Kansas for the 2022 class.

Clemson is in the top ten with four-star OT Julian Armella (6-6 300) of Miami. The others on his short list are Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan and Miami. He’s rated the #14 offensive tackle nationally in his class by 247Sports and the #15 prospect in Florida.

Clemson offered 2022 ATH Larry Turner-Gooden (6-0 179) of Playa Del Rey, CA. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, the #4 athlete nationally in his class and the #7 prospect in California. He can play safety or receiver.

2023 DE Denzel Moore of Norcross, GA was offered by USC, Georgia and Tennessee. He also has offers from Georgia Tech, UAB and Florida State.

Chapman LB Camden Gray (6-2 225) committed to Navy. He also considered Wofford, Liberty, Georgia State, Liberty, UCF and Furman.

2022 ATH EJ Evett of Seneca was offered by Wake Forest and Coastal Carolina.

USC women’s targtet 5-8 Raven Johnson of Atlanta plans to announce her college decision June 25th. The others on her short list are Auburn, Florida State, Florida, UCLA, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Kentucky.

Presbyterian announced 6-4 Trevon Reddish (Carrollton, Ga.), who played his freshman campaign at College of Charleston, will join the Blue Hose this coming fall.
