#Clemson getting Simms back for another season

Aamir Simms will return to Clemson for his senior season (Clemson Athletic Department)

Clemson’s 2021 basketball season received a major lift Monday morning when it was reported by Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com that forward Aamir Simms will withdraw from the NBA Draft and return for his senior season. Simms did not sign with an agent and thus retained his eligibility. His return gives the Tigers four returning starters from last season.

Simms earned third team All-ACC honors last season. He averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists per game, all career highs. Simms shot 47% from the floor and showed great improvement in his three point shooting hitting 40% of his shots behind the line. He also was a 70% shooter from the line.

From last season’s team that averaged 66 points per game, the Tigers will return 83% of that production.
