Hamlin wins rain-shortened Toyota 500 at Darlington (AUDIO)

Denny Hamlin calls Darlington Raceway one of his favorites on the NASCAR circuit and he showed why Wednesday night winning the Toyota 500 when rain forced the race to be called with 20 laps to go. Hamlin stayed out while other frontrunners pitted for tires during a late race caution-period to take the lead for the first time. He held on to the lead on the restart with 29 laps to go.

Kyle Busch sent Chase Elliott spinning into the inside wall bringing out the final yellow of the night, and the cars were parked with 20 laps left and the rain picking up.

Hamlin also won the Daytona 500 this season, and this was his third career win at Darlington and the 39th victory of his career. Busch finished second followed by Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski and Erik Jones.
