#STRecruiting: #Clemson & LSU final two for Gee

Khari Gee

Four-star SAF Khari Gee of Atlanta Thursday named a final two of Clemson and LSU. The Tigers and Bayou Bengals were left standing from an offer list that also included Florida State, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Florida, North Carolina, Southern Cal, Auburn, Penn State, Michigan, Virginia Tech and Kentucky.

“I put it out to just narrow down my options,” Gee said. . “There were so many coaches hitting me up. I think this is going to make it easier for me to make a decision. I feel like those two schools are just the best fits for me. I am really good to make the decision off of everything I have seen so far, but I am just going to keep grinding and building my relationships with both schools and then see which one is the best for me.”

Clemson safeties coach Mickey Conn is leading the way in the Tigers’ recruiting efforts and the two FaceTimed earlier in the week.

“They really say to just be ready and go ahead and pull the trigger when I am ready. But they also tell me that there is no rush,” Gee said. “They also tell me that they really want me and there is a lot of love there.”

Gee has taken unofficial visits to Clemson and LSU. He was at Clemson for a junior day in January and got a good look at the operation run by Dabo Swinney.

“It’s just the culture at Clemson and how Coach Swinney runs things and how it is such a spiritual community and how everybody is so close,” he said. “It is just a well-rounded program and football team. It is about more than just football there.”

Gee said he’s looking at a time near the start of his senior season for making his decision. Last season he had 58 tackles and broke up 6 passes. He’s the 17th ranked safety in the country in the 247Sports Composite and the #28 prospect in Georgia.
