#STRecruiting Notebook 4-16 (UPDATED)

WR JJ Jones of Myrtle Beach too another step forward in his recruiting Wednesday night releasing a top ten list from his long list of offers. Making the short list were USC, North Carolina, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Penn State, Tennessee, Georgia, Michigan and Virginia Tech. Some of those not making the cut were Louisville, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Kansas State and Missouri. USC just offered Jones earlier this month. He has also been talking to Clemson but the Tigers have not yet offered.

Clemson target DT Payton Page of Greensboro, NC plans to name his top three tonight. Clemson, North Carolina, LSU, Tennessee and Oregon have been his top five.

USC offered 2022 LB Jaylen Sneed of Hilton Head. Some of his other offers are Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, NC State, Michigan, Arkansas, Duke and Indiana.

USC offered 2022 LB Ty Anderson (6-0 200) of Thomasville, GA. Last season he had 128 tackles with 17 tackles for loss and 8 sacks.

USC offered 2022 TE Trent McGaughey of Pearland, TX. He’s rated a 3-star prospect by 247Sports and ranked the #9 TE nationally in his class. Some of his other offers are Ole Miss, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Southern Cal, Pitt, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Purdue.

USC included in the top ten with DE Mattheus Carroll of Baltimore. The others are Maryland, Louisville, West Virginia, Pitt, Temple, Duke, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati and Virginia Tech.

Wofford signed DL Tylik Caine (6-0, 260) of Raleigh. As a senior the team was 13-1 overall and reached the state championship game. He recorded 60 tackles and had four forced fumbles.

Charleston Southern signed 6-6 Melvin Edwards of Carrollton, GA and 6-4 Ja’Quavian Florence of Atlanta.

Strom Thurmond TE Brandon Williams was offered by West Virginia and Middle Tennessee State. Some of his other offers are Virginia Tech, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Air Force and Army.

Clemson baseball commitment Lonnie White of Malvern, PA was offered by Penn State for football.

2022 LB Jaylen Sneed of Hilton Head was offered by Arkansas.

The College of Charleston signed 6-11 Keegan Harvey of Australia. He attends Montverde Academy in Florida.

6-5 Quentin Hodge of Lakewood committed to Upstate.
