LB Bryce Steele of Raleigh plans to announce his college decision Saturday at 1:00 PM. Steele has his decision down to USC, North Carolina and Texas. The Longhorns were the last of the three to offer with their new linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler who had been recruiting Steele for the Gamecocks. At the time Steele called it his “dream offer.” The Gamecocks and Tar Heels have had much longer relationships with Steele. He camped with the Gamecocks last summer. His last visit to USC was March 5th when he got the chance to meet new linebackers coach Rod Wilson. That visit came two days after his last visit to North Carolina. The Tar Heels received the most visits with Steele estimating 7 or 8 trips to Chapel Hill. Steele can also play safety. He’s rated a three-star prospect in the 247Sports composite, the #27 athlete nationally and the #9 prospect in Virginia. He attends school in Richmond.
