Malcolm Johnson

USC is in the top 12 with speedster 4-star WR Malcolm Johnson of Alexandria, VA. The others are Ole Miss, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. Johnson is a native of Bryans Road, MD and is also a standout track performer. He does have high interest in the Gamecocks at this point. He has taken unofficial visits to North Carolina and Maryland.

USC target OL Jakiah Leftwich plans some news for Tuesday at Noon. He visited USC for Florida game and a junior day in February. He has had USC high on his list. Georgia got his last visit in March before the shutdown. Some of his other offers are Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Toledo, UNLV, Illinois, Tennessee and Mississippi State.

USC offered 2022 LB Keaten Wade (6-4 215) of Spring Hill, TN. The Gamecocks offered his twin brother QB/ATH Destin Wade in December. Keaten also has offers from Vanderbilt, Penn State, Mississippi State, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Kentucky. And Destin also has offers from Vanderbilt, Penn State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Kentucky.

2022 WR Jaleel Skinner of Greer was offered by Arkansas.

2022 DB Jeadyn Lukus of Mauldin was offered by Georgia Tech.

Gaffney DL Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins indicated he’s getting closer on a decision.

USC target RB AJ Green plans to name his top 8 Wednesday. His offers include USC, LSU, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Michigan, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Baylor.

USC target RB Tiyon Evans of Hartsville and Hutchinson JC, KS was offered by Western Kentucky.

Five-star OL Amarius Mims of Cochran, GA, rated the #1 prospect in Georgia and the #2 OT in the nation in the 247Sports composite, has Clemson and USC  on his short list and has set October 14th for his commitment.  The other schools he’s listing are Auburn, LSU, Florida State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Oregon. 

Clemson made the top 8 with 3-star OL Jared Wilson of Clemmons, NC. Also on the list are LSU, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas and North Carolina. He’s a former Georgia commitment.

USC and Clemson are in the top 12 with 3-star RB Malik Newton (6-0 223) of Norfolk, VA. The others are Pitt, Penn State, Nebraska, Temple, Syracuse, West Virginia, Maryland, Louisville and Old Dominion.   He’s also a baseball prospect. 

DT Taleeq Robbins of Philadelphia plans to release a top 15 soon.  USC is among his offers and look good for making the list. Some of his other offers are Tennessee, Michigan, Washington, Ole Miss, NC State, Texas A&M, Duke, West Virginia and Georgia Tech.

USC offered RB Trevion Cooley (5-10 200) of Knightdale, NC. He has a 3-star rating in the 247Sports composite.  Duke, Georgia Tech, Utah, Maryland, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Louisville are some of his other offers.  According to MaxPreps stats, the last two season Cooley accumulated nearly 2000 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.

USC commitment DB Demarko Williams was offered by Florida State.

The Gamecocks offered 2022 CB Jeadyn Lukus of Mauldin.  He also has offers from Kentucky, LSU, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, Florida and Appalachian State.

USC also offered 2022 SAF Jaron Willis (6-2 210) of Leesburg, GA.  Tennessee also offered Saturday. He also has Oklahoma State and Pitt offers.

DE Victoine Brown of Loganville, GA, who was offered by USC, committed to Louisville.

Offers continue to roll in for TE Robbie Outzs of Rock Hill. Here’s the updated offer list from his coach Bubba Pittman: USC, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, NC State, Louisville, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, Pitt, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, East Carolina, Appalachian State, Georgia State, Liberty, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, North Alabama, UAB and UCF.

DB Caden Sullivan of Boiling Springs has accumulated offers from Air Force, Vanderbilt, Coastal Carolina, Wofford, Gardner-Webb, Charlotte, Georgia State and Appalachian State.

Former BHP SAF Bralyn Oliver, now of Cornelius, NC, was offered by NC State.

Blythewood WR Joshua Burrell was offered by NC State.

2022 WR Adam Randall of Myrtle Beach was offered by Virginia Tech.

2022 WR Jaleel Skinner of Greer was offered by Penn State. 

Clemson is in the final eight with 4-star shooting guard 6-5 Ike Cornish of Baltimore, who attends Legacy Charter in Greenville.  He also lists Xavier, Dayton, Georgetown, VCU, George Washington, Virginia Tech and Maryland.  He’s ranked 17th nationally among shooting guards by the 247Sports composite and the #3 prospect in South Carolina.

USC has interest in Yale grad transfer 6-9 Jordan Bruner from Spring Valley.  Bruner told The State late last week he was expecting a phone call from head coach Frank Martin after assistants had reached out to his mother.  Bruner also is considering entering the NBA Draft.  In three seasons at Yale, Bruner played in 84 games and averaged nearly 10 points and 8 rebounds per game.  Bruner spent four years at Yale as he redshirted his sophomore season recovering from surgery for torn meniscus. 

Former Wren star guard Trey McGowens, who spent two seasons at Pitt, is in the transfer market.  His father told CBSSports.com some of the schools to contact his son are USC, Wichita State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Illinois, Nebraska, TCU, DePaul, Xavier, Georgia Tech, Southern Cal and Georgetown. McGowens played in 60 games with the Panthers and averaged nearly 12 points and 3 assists per game.
