The regular season ended with a dud for USC Saturday, a loss to Vanderbilt, the last-place team in the SEC standings. The Gamecocks tied for the 4th best record in league play, but will be the sixth seed in the tournament. They will face either Vanderbilt or Arkansas around 9:30 PM Thursday night. Monday morning coach Frank Martin touched on the Vandy loss, and gave an upbeat assessment of his program going into the postseason.
