USC offered LB Ese Dubre (6-2 220) of Powder Springs, GA in December and the two sides continue to communicate and grow the relationship. The Gamecocks invited him to visit this month and he has set March 28th for the trip. He’s excited about checking out the Gamecocks and wants to show them his appreciation for the offer.
“I really worked hard to get to this position I am in today and am very thankful and blessed for my success,” Dubre said. “South Carolina is great university. They have shown me a lot of love these last couple weeks. I really feel like I can play a major role for them in the future.”
Last season Dubre was credited with 112 tackles, 7 sacks and 11 quarterback hurries. He also caused 4 fumbles and recovered 3.
“They (USC) like me as an overall player, and what sticks out in my game is my speed and use of my length,” Dubre said.
His other offers at this point are Louisville, Kentucky, Pitt, Kansas State, Nebraska, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Toledo and Georgia Southern.
Dubre also is a state championship level wrestler
