USC managed just hits and stranded 11 base runners, and the Gamecock bullpen walked 4 batters and gave up 4 runs over the final 2.2 innings in a 5-2 10 inning loss to Northwestern Friday at Founders Park. The Gamecocks were 1-11 with runners in scoring position.

Carmen Mlodzinski started for USC and allowed 1 run and 3 hits over 7 innings. But in the 10th Daniel Lloyd and Parker Coyne allowed 4 runs on 2 singles and 4 walks. Brady Allen and Dallas Beaver combined for 4 of USC’s 7 hits. Four of those hits were doubles.
