The Clemson-Georgia rivalry is coming back three years earlier than expected. The schools announced Tuesday they will meet in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium to kickoff the 2021 season. The game will be played on September 4th and is the sixth scheduled meeting between the old rivals thru 2033.

The schools previously announced a return of the rivalry for 2024 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. They also have home-and-home series in 2029-30 and 2032-33.

The Tigers and Bulldogs last met in a home-and-home series in 2013-14 with each winning on their home turf. Georgia leads the all-time series 42-18-4.
