Martin warns #Gamecocks not to be fooled by Georgia’s record (AUDIO)

Frank Martin is still hopeful for NCAA Tournament bid (Travis Bell/SIDELINE CAROLINA)

The USC basketball team is very much alive for an NCAA Tournament spot after the win over Texas A&M Saturday. The Gamecocks are 77th in the NET Monday after winning six of their last eight. One of those losses was at Ole Miss, which had just one SEC win at the time. Now, the Gamecocks go to Georgia Wednesday night, and the Bulldogs have just two league wins.

The point Martin wanted to make was that in his opinion, the SEC is such a good league that you can’t judge a team strictly by its record, especially at home. And Georgia has talent, including a lottery pick in 6-5 freshman Anthony Edwards who is averaging 20 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
