Tony Elliott

The cost of doing business, and the cost of winning, continues to rise in the Clemson football program. Five straight trips to the national playoffs and two national championships not only have earned the staff the love of their fans but also the appreciation of the administration. Thursday morning the board of trustees backed that up with an even deeper financial commitment.

The biggest gainer was Tony Elliott who is now the sole offensive coordinator with Jeff Scott now the head coach at South Florida. Elliott will earn an average of 1.7 million dollars for the life of his contract making him the highest paid OC in the country. He was making a million per season.

Dabo Swinney Thursday also officially announced the hiring of Tyler Grisham as the new receivers coach, taking over that spot from Scott.
