Travis Etienne will be back for his senior season at Clemson

Clemson might be losing early to the NFL Draft one of its all time great receivers in Tee Higgins, but the Tigers are getting back for another season their all-time leading rusher in Travis Etienne. The junior from Louisiana announced Friday afternoon he will return to school for his senior season

Etienne ended the 2019 season as Clemson’s all-time leading rusher with 4038 yards. He also has 56 rushing touchdowns and 62 total touchdowns to his credit. This season Etienne rushed for 1674 yards and 19 touchdowns and was named the ACC Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Etienne’s return will give the Tigers’ a loaded running back room in 2020, barring any transfers. Lyn-J Dixon is slated to return for his junior season after rushing for 635 yards and 6 touchdowns as the primary backup. Chez Mellusi played in 11 games and rushed for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. and Michel Dukes played in 10 games rushing for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In December the Tigers signed 5-star running back Demarckus Bowman and 3-star running back Kobe Pryor.
