Clemson coach Dabo Swinney basically summed up the approach to Friday’s final media session for the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl head coaches in his first comment: “Ditto everything I said yesterday.” The press session at the JW Marriott Camelback Resort in Scottsdale, AZ came 24 hours after a media day in which every Clemson coach and player was available for an hour. So, there really wasn’t much left for the two coaches to share with the assembled reporters.
Both teams are healthy, rested and anxious to play for the right to move on to the national championship game. Both coaches agreed they would prefer for the national semi-finals to be played on New Year’s Day. Swinney remains opposed to expansion of the playoff field. And as for the next decade of Clemson football, Swinney said he believes “the best is yet to come.”
Here’s some of what the coaches had to say on Friday
