Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney addressed Nick Saban’s absence from this year’s College Football Playoff, how he motivates his team with “free fuel” and co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott’s move to USF as part of a joint press conference, Thursday. All four coaches involved in the College Football Playoff, Swinney, LSU’s Ed Orgeron, Oklahoma’s Lincoln Riley and Ohio State’s Ryan Day, took part in the press conference held at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
Orgeron’s top-ranked LSU squad is set to tangle with Riley’s 4th-ranked Sooners in Atlanta on Dec. 28th at 4 p.m. LSU opened as an 11-point favorite, but most Las Vegas oddsmakers have pushed the line up to 13. Swinney and 3rd-ranked Clemson are making the long trek to Glendale, Ari., to square off with Day’s 2nd-ranked Buckeyes on Dec. 28th at 8 p.m. Clemson is a 2-point favorite.
