USC snapped a two game losing streak Sunday afternoon at the Colonial Life Arena with a 74-65 win over George Washington. Maik Kotsar led four Gamecocks in double figures with 17 points on 8-9 shooting from the floor. He also added 9 rebounds. AJ Lawson scored 14 points and Jair Bolden and Jermaine Couisnard added 12 each.
The Gamecocks had one of their better overall shooting days of the young season canning 53% of their shots. Most of their good work was done inside as they scored 42 points in the paint. They only made 3-14 shots from three-point range.
