Wichita never trailed and built a 23-7 lead midway thru the first half on the way to a 41-22 halftime lead. The closest the Gamecocks could get in the second half was 16 points.

The Gamecocks were only 3-10 from three point range and 8-17 from the line, and they were outrebounded by 9. And they had 19 turnovers the Shockers converted to 20 points.
