Clemson will play its first November game not ranked in the playoff top four for the first time since the 2015 season Saturday at NC State. The CFP committee issued its first ranking of the season Tuesday night and the Tigers were placed fifth behind Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and Penn State. Clemson’s approach has been to not worry about the ranking leading up to it, and the Tigers will maintain that approach on the backside of it. Yet, there’s not question their motivation button will be pushed even more than normal for a game the Tigers are favored to win by 32 points. Clemson has won seven in a row over the Wolfpack and is on a 24 game winning streak overall.

Co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott says the focus is on Clemson
Defensive coordinator Brent Venables has to plan for multiple QBs vs NC State
QB Trevor Lawrence feels like he and the offense are playing well

LOL….The rankings are about right currently based on performance. I might switch OSU and LSU, but it’s about right for now.
