The AP and Coaches’ Top 25 rankings released Sunday showed no changes in the top five setting the stage for the first ranking by the College Football Playoff Committee ranking Tuesday night, the only ranking that really matters as it pertains to the postseason. Clemson remained third by the coaches and fourth by the media. Combined, top ranked Alabama and Clemson lost four first place votes that all went to LSU. In the AP ranking, the first place votes did not change among the top four but top ranked LSU gained three more overall points on the field.
