The goal now is to be the last team standing in December
The regular season for high school football in South Carolina ended Friday night. Those region championships that were undecided were settled, and the remaining playoff spots were filled with some tiebreakers determined Saturday morning. The playoffs will begin Friday night across the state leading to the Weekend of Champions in Columbia December 6-7. The 1A and 2A title games will be played at Benedict College on that Friday and the remaining title games will be played at Williams-Brice Stadium that Saturday.

One interesting note from the brackets that will raise some eyebrows…a winless Hemingway team is in the 1A Bracket as a three-seed and a home game against Scotts Branch. As explained by Jim Baxter of SCVarsity, Hemingway’s region has only three teams and gets three automatic bids to the playoffs. It lost a team when Creek Bridge was absorbed by Marion.
