Gamecocks head coach Will Muschamp addressed the media via teleconference a day after South Carolina‘s 24-7 victory over Kentucky. The win broke a five-game skid to the Wildcats and was sorely needed to keep bowl hopes alive. Coach Muschamp named running backs Rico Dowdle and Tavien Feaster the offensive players of the game as they combined for 209 yards rushing on 30 carries. Dowdle suffered an ankle injury during the game but Muschamp indicated the team‘s leading rusher should return to practice by Wednesday and be available for the trip to Athens, Georgia, October 12th.
