LB Richard Hayes (L) and DB Marvin Maddox are two of the best on the Allen defense

Allen University restarted its football program in 2018 after 14 year hiatus. The Yellow Jackets are playing at the NAIA D-1 level at this point but there are plans to move to NCAA D-2 over time. There’s also talk of building an on campus stadium. Already coach Teddy Keaton has seen the school pony up the money for a new weight room and a new locker room, so he feels the future is bright. The Yellow Jackets won twice in 2018, playing nothing but freshmen, and fielded one of the top defenses in NAIA. With a transfer quarterback and an overall improved offense, the Yellow Jackets are out to try to double or triple that win total this season.
