USC staged a game-type scrimmage inside Williams-Brice Stadium Monday afternoon. Action began at 3:30 with the temperature hovering around 100 degrees as Will Muschamp wanted to work his players under similar conditions they will face in the season opener against North Carolina in Charlotte. There were several injuries Muschamp updated for the media, but the most significant news was the loss of tight end Evan Hinson for up two two months due to a heart procedure he will have.
