The 43 team of Richard Petty Motorsports Tuesday unveiled its paint scheme for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 throwback weekend. And it was a touching moment for the family as they honored the legacy of the late Adam Petty and Victory Junction, a camp founded in 2004 in North Carolina by the Pettys for children with serious illnesses. Adam Petty was killed in 2000 in a crash at the New Hampshire Speedway. The paint scheme the Pettys chose is the same one that adorned Adam Petty’s ARCA car in 1998 when he won at Charlotte. On hand for the unveiling were Richard Petty, Kyle Petty and Bubba Wallace, driver of the 43 car.
