TE Sage Ennis of Tallahassee has become a popular topic in the Palmetto State. He visited USC for a junior day in January and was offered by the Gamecocks last week. And also last week, he made an unofficial visit to Clemson. The Tigers are still in their evaluation process and have not offered. But there is interest both ways and Ennis plans to attend a Clemson camp next month to show Dabo Swinney and tight ends coach Danny Pearman what he’s got.
“It was just a great time,” Ennis said of the Clemson visit. “They showed me around the campus, showed me the facilities, and I got to sit down and talk with Coach Pearman. He told me that I checked all the boxes. That they wanted to meet me and see how my personality is and how I interact with people. He saw my transcript and loved it. Next, he wants to get me back to camp to work with him and meet Coach Swinney.”
Ennis will be back at Clemson for a camp June 5th. He will visit Florida State again Wednesday. He’s also been to Rice, Memphis and UCF. Some of his other offers are West Virginia, Miami, Maryland, NC State, Louisville and South Florida.
