Story by Matt Smith
Another Clemson Tiger has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. A few weeks after running back Tavien Feaster announced he was leaving the team, linebacker Shaq Smith has followed suit, as first reported by Clemson247.
Smith, a Baltimore, MD, native, was highly recruited out the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, and counted LSU, Auburn and Maryland among his offers. Like Feaster, Smith was expected to contribute for the defending national champions and challenge for a starting position at inside linebacker.
Smith, a rising redshirt junior, has already graduated and will be eligible to play immediately upon transfer.
