#STRecruiting: Tate gets a #Clemson offer

Myles Tate

Dorman PG Myles Tate Monday night landed an offer from Clemson, his first offer from an ACC program. Tate said he received the offer during a phone call with assistant coach Steve Smith.

“It’s just a blessing from God and it’s hard work paying off,” Tate said. “Coach Brownell is building that school up really well, and it’s just a blessing.”

As for the impact of the Clemson offer on his recruiting, Tate said that’s yet to be determined.

” I’m not sure yet, that decision will take some time.”

Tate also has offers from USC, South Florida, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Presbyterian, Wofford and Appalachian State. He’s not yet had any home visits but he said one is in the works.

“South Carolina wanted to make a home visit sometime in the next few weeks,” Tate said. Frank Martin originally had planned to visit with Tate and his teammate 6-10 PJ Hall last week but he had to postpone the visit.
