David Skara had 16 points to lead a Clemson men’s basketball attack that shot 46 percent from the field as the Tigers cruised to a 71-51 victory over North Carolina Central.
Aamir Simms (14 points) and Shelton Mitchell (11 points) joined Skara in double-figures, as the Tigers found themselves using more of their bench with Elijah Thomas riddled in foul trouble.
Freshmen Hunter Tyson and John Newman III each played double-digit minutes, and Javan White scored seven points, making all three shots.
Clemson also forced 20 turnovers from the Eagles, as they improved on their defensive prowess after allowing 80 points in their opener against The Citadel.
