South Carolina Gamecocks Head Coach Will Muschamp believes his team will get one of its biggest defensive playmakers back for their next game against Tennesssee.
Defensive End DJ Wonnum, who hasn’t played since the opening game of the season with the knee injury, has been running for the last two weeks, and Muschamp believes he will play against the Volunteers.
Muschamp also said DBs JT Ibe (knee) and Nick Harvey (concussion) remain sidelined with injuries, and RB AJ Turner is questionable in concussion protocol.
The Gamecocks (3-3, 2-3 SEC) host a Tennessee team coming off a blowout loss to Alabama, but Muschamp believes they provide a formidable foe coming into Williams-Brice Stadium. The Head Coach said Jake Bentley will start at quarterback, but they will not be afraid to turn to backup Michael Scarnecchia if the game dictates a change.
