South Carolina Head Coach Will Muschamp reflected on his team’s loss to Kentucky during his Sunday teleconference as a defeat where they made Kentucky look better than they were.
Muschamp didn’t discount that the better team won on Saturday, but he did elude multiple times to the self-inflicted errors such as drops, turnovers, silly penalties and an overall lack of execution that led the Wildcats to a decisive victory in Lexington.
South Carolina came out of the game Saturday particularly banged up, including QB Jake Bentley, who is day-to-day with a knee injury. Muschamp will know more about Bentley’s situation Tuesday, where he’ll also know more about injuries to LB Eldridge Thompson (DNP/Shoulder), WR Bryan Edwards (ankle), along with DBs JT Ibe (knee) and Jamyest Williams (shoulder).
Running back Ty’Son Williams who did not play should be good to go this week, and the Gamecocks should also get WR Chad Terrell available for his first action in 2018 after rehabbing a preseason injury.
