Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney spoke Wednesday night to shed some additional light on the decision of QB Kelly Bryant to leave the Tigers.
Swinney made similar comments to what he said in his Wednesday morning ACC Teleconference but also went further into the Monday meeting with the now-departed signal-caller.
The Head Coach said he laid out the options available to Bryant, and Swinney said he told the senior he would still have a vital on-field role in the offense if he stayed.
Bryant’s departure allows for him to retain his final year of eligibility and play elsewhere due to the new rule which allows a player to redshirt after he’s played in only four games or less.
