OL Trevor Keegan of Crystal Lake, IL has his list down to Clemson, Georgia, Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State. He visited Clemson earlier in the summer and will be back this season or shortly thereafter for an official visit.
Though he is way up in Big 10 country, Keegan is well aware of what Clemson has been doing the last half-decade, and that’s why the Tigers have his attention.
“Definitely the success of the team the last few years and Coach Swinney,” Keegan said. “He’s definitely changed that program and got off to fast pace and they are going to keep staying that way. They are bringing good players. Great coaches. Great coaching staff. Great facilities. Great university. Overall Clemson is what brings all these great players and that’s why they are so successful with a great coaching staff.”
Offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell, Keegan said, is in regular contact with him, but he’s also hearing from the other four schools regularly as well. He will take his official visits and then decide, and he knows what he’s looking for.
“I want to be on a successful team. That’s really my main goal,” he said. “I want to go out and win bowl games, win championships. I want to experience that. That’s always been a goal of mine. I want to play with the best players around and be on a team that has the best coaching staff that can help get me to the NFL.”
Keegan said he most likely will sign in December but he will not graduate until next spring. There is not a current leader.
