Clemson target OL/DE Cooper Dawson of Hanahan was offered by Vanderbilt. Dawson, who is out this season with a torn ACL, plans to visit Clemson for the Georgia Southern game. He has set official visits to UCF and Vanderbilt in November and is undecided about the other three. He said Clemson has mentioned a grayshirt to him.
CB Johnny Dixon of Tampa remains strong on USC which he visited officially in June. He will take an official visit to Penn State September 28th and will decide soon after that. He’s also talking to Florida and Miami. He does not have have any plans on a return trip to USC before he decides.
RB/LB Quavaris Crouch of Charlotte told the website CarolinaBlitz he will schedule official visits with Clemson, Alabama, Florida State, Michigan and Southern Cal. He said USC and Tennessee remain in the running and have not been ruled out.
USC has kept up its interest in LB Dante Walker of Ellenwood, GA, and now with a qualifying test score according to RecruitGeorgia, he could become a bigger target.
2020 ER Jalin Hyatt of Dutch Fork plans to visit Clemson Saturday. He has offers from Virginia Tech and Duke. He’s also hearing from USC, Wake Forest and Virginia.
According to Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated, LB Kane Patterson of Nashville will visit Clemson unofficially Saturday. Patterson is a former Ohio State commitment.
