South Carolina Gamecocks Head Coach Will Muschamp made things very clear on Tuesday, there will be no looking ahead to Week Two.
The Gamecocks opening test against Coastal Carolina is easily overshadowed by next week’s conference opener against Georgia, but Muschamp has maintained his “Every Week’s A Season” mentality with his players.

Tuesday marked the first release of South Carolina’s Depth Chart, which provided the solution to many of South Carolina’s position battles:

Muschamp answered questions about the USC Depth below:
South Carolina’s biggest position battles were at the backup offensive line, running back and in the secondary.
At defensive back, Keisean Nixon won out at cornerback over Jaycee Horn, with the true freshman Horn slotting in at nickelback. JT Ibe beat out Nick Harvey at the starting safety spot ahead of fellow graduate transfer Nick Harvey.
Muschamp talked about how he feels about the secondary, where he had his chiefest concerns going into camp:
In the bigger picture, Muschamp fielded questions about possibly overlooking Coastal Carolina, and the continued questions about the new grass field being laid just days before the opening game.
