South Carolina Football Coach Will Muschamp responded Monday and clarified his comments from Saturday about his former assistant, Maryland Football Coach DJ Durkin.
Saturday, Muschamp called those who hide behind the veil of being an anonymous source, “gutless”, and said “you don’t have to go far to find a disgruntled football player” at this time of year.
His comments on Monday handled the issue with more sensitivity to deceased Maryland football player Jordan McNair, part of the reason Durkin and four staffers have been placed on administrative leave:

Muschamp and the Gamecocks held a full scrimmage Monday, two days after a half-practice, half-scrimmage at Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Head Coach said the Gamecocks ran about 150 plays and continued to ramp up the tempo to the level they feel they can run their revamped offense come September.
