The Clemson football team Monday night got down to serious business with its first practice in shells. They will be in shells again Tuesday and then in full pads Wednesday. Dabo Swinney and his staff can now start to sort out contenders from pretenders and can get a batter feel for the quarterback competition.
Swinney met with the media shortly after practice and was his typical upbeat self as he reviewed the workout on a steamy night in the Upstate.
Bryant also met with the media Monday, his first such session since the spring game when he struggled while Trevor Lawrence had some shining moments.
Who will emerge as the quarterbacks’ favorite target this season? Tee Higgins, who had a strong second half to his freshman season, figures to be that guy out of a deep bunch of targets.
The Tigers will hit the practice field again on Tuesday afternoon at 4:10 PM>
