The Clemson Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks have jointly announced their plans for their baseball series for the next four seasons.
During the 2019 and 2021 seasons the series will start at Doug Kingsmore Stadium at Clemson on Friday, play Saturday at Fluor Field in Greenville and conclude Sunday at Founders Park in Columbia.
In 2020 and 2022, Founders Park will host the opening game, with Saturday’s game originating from Spirit Communications Park in Columbia, home of the Columbia Fireflies and concluding at Clemson Sunday.
This arrangement is a change from the previous arrangement, which saw Greenville host the middle game for the last five seasons, and for two seasons in 2010 and 2011. Charleston’s Joe Riley Park also hosted the series for a neutral-site game in 2012.
In a joint statement provided by both schools, Clemson Athletic Director Dan Radakovich said the schools solicited bids from throughout the state as well as Charlotte’s BB&T Field.
As has been the case in the past, the neutral-site venue each year will provide the same amount of tickets to both schools.
