One day after Arkansas used a big inning to victimize South Carolina, the Gamecocks gave the Razorbacks a taste of their own medicine, scoring five runs in the fifth, en route to an 8-5 victory Sunday.
LT Tolbert’s grand slam broke the game open for South Carolina in the fifth inning, extending what was a one-run USC lead to an insurmountable margin.
Cody Morris allowed an unearned run in five innings of otherwise unblemished work, striking out four and scattering four hits.
Justin Row drove in two runs for South Carolina, including a solo home run in the third inning, which gave the Gamecocks the lead for good.
