The Kansas City Chiefs made former Clemson linebacker Dorian O’Daniel the last pick (100th overall) of the Third Round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Friday.
O’Daniel, a native of Olney, Maryland, led the Tigers in total tackles (104) during his senior season, and was a finalist for the Butkus Award, given to the best linebacker in the country.
The converted High School running back was an asset against the run and pass, dropping back into coverage as a hybrid outside linebacker and nickel pass threat. O’Daniel also recorded a pair of interceptions in 2017, returning both for touchdowns.
The Chiefs, who did not have a selection in Thursday’s First Round, selected three defensive players on Friday including two linebackers, with former Ole Miss LB Breeland Speaks joining O’Daniel.
