Clemson target OL Richard Gouraige of Tampa held to his commitment to Florida and signed with the Gators.
South Pointe WR/DB Steven Gilmore signed with Marshall. He had early offers from the likes of USC, North Carolina, Georgia and Louisville but opted not to commit early and those schools moved on to other targets.

Former USC commitment DB Marlon Character of NW Mississippi JC signed with Louisville. He originally signed with Auburn out of Grady High in Atlanta and left after redshirting his freshman season. He committed to the Gamecocks last August but when he was not able to sign in December because he was not able to graduate, USC pulled his offer. At Louisville he will be coached by former Gamecock secondary coaches Lorenzo Ward and Grady Brown.
LB Dax Hollifield of Shelby, NC signed with Virginia Tech. He had strong flirtations with both Clemson and USC. Clemson was his first offer but the Tigers backed off after getting two other linebackers. USC then became one of his front runners over the summer and into the season but the Gamecocks lost interest after his official visit. He narrowed his choices to Virginia Tech, Stanford and North Carolina but Clemson made a run at him last week. Hollifield was a Shrine Bowler and an Army All American.
Conway LB Jaylen Moody signed with Alabama this morning. He took his official visit there last weekend. He also considered Ole Miss and Arkansas at the end.
Clemson came up short on a pair of defensive backs who announced within minutes of one another. Trevon Flowers of Tucker, GA signed with Tennessee and Patrick Surtain of Plantation, FL signed with Alabama.
USC missed on DL John Mincey of Homerville, GA when he signed this morning with Tennessee. He was originally committed to Arkansas but decommitted after the coaching change. He took late official visits to USC and Tennessee and was back and forth this week on his decision until signing on with the Vols.
Punter George Georgopoulos of JL Mann will take an official visit to Massachusetts Sunday and Monday. He’s also considering walkon offers from USC, Nebraska and Old Dominion.
DE Kadarius McDaniel (6-2 227) of Tifton, GA was offered by USC. He also has offers from Kentucky, South Florida and East Carolina.
USC announced the official signing of OL Dylan Wonnum of Tucker, GA. Wonnum, the brother of USC DE DJ Wonnum, committed to the Gamecocks Saturday night over Tennessee and Auburn.
QB Ryan Hilinski of Orange, CA has USC among his favorites at this point. Some of the others on his list are Arizona State, Washington State, Duke, Rutgers, Utah, San Jose State, Ole Miss, Missouri and Boston College.
OL Jaelin Humphries of Lawrenceville, GA is down to USC, Florida and Georgia and indicates a decision isn’t far off.
USC offered LB Avery Huff (6-3 210) of Fort Lauderdale.
