Connor Shaw is coming back to the Palmetto State, as Furman football coach Clay Hendrix has hired the former Gamecock signal-caller as the Paladins’ new Tight Ends Coach.
Shaw replaces George Quarles in that role after he was promoted to the Offensive Coordinator.
Following Shaw’s career at USC where he set records for completion percentage (68.5) and QB wins (27), he played parts of four seasons in the NFL.
Shaw had trouble sticking with a team in the league, as the Chicago Bears released him on an injury settlement in September.
