South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp has promoted Bryan McClendon to the position of Offensive Coordinator, and named Alabama Offensive Analyst Dan Werner the new Quaterbacks Coach.
McClendon will still coach wide receivers at South Carolina, and Werner will report to South Carolina after Alabama’s national championship game.
The Georgia alum McClendon coached under Mark Richt and Offensive Coordinators Mike Bobo and Brian Schottenheimer. Werner previously coached at Miami in two previous stints while QBs Gino Torretta and Ken Dorsey were there.
Muschamp said that continuity wasn’t a concern, it was mostly about fit.

Muschamp also said LB Bryson Allen-Williams & CB Jamyest Williams would not go through Spring Practice, but that WR Deebo Samuel will be able to go full speed by then.
He believes offensive lineman Donnell Stanley should be able to practice after undergoing a minor knee procedure, while Mon Denson might not be able to following his knee procedure.
