South Carolina basketball coach Frank Martin said Rakym Felder’s suspension from the team will last through the end of this season.
During a teleconference Friday morning, Martin relayed that the USC administration will allow him to return to school in January for an undetermined date.
“There are certain things that I am asking Rakym to do before I allow him to be a part of our day-to-day basketball team again,’ Martin said, later adding that those certain things will be kept in private.
Felder was suspended for his involvement in a July 13th incident where police say he spit on a woman, inciting a brawl outside of a Columbia bar. He was originally charged with assault and battery, but those charges have since been dropped.
South Carolina opens up conference play on Sunday at Ole Miss, and Martin offered up his thoughts on the Rebels during the teleconference which you can hear below:
