For the second time in less than a week, Clemson had a player pass the centennial mark in points as Donte Grantham’s 17 points led the Tigers to an 89-60 win Friday over Louisiana-Lafayette.
Grantham became the 39th player in Clemson history to achieve the feat, joining Marcquise Reed who accomplished it during the Tigers’ game against Florida.
Elijah Thomas and Shelton Mitchell each added 15 points for Clemson, who held the Ragin’ Cajuns to just four points off free throws and no field goals for the final 7:49 of the contest.
Clemson’s David Skara had his best game of the three he’s played since his return from an NCAA suspension, scoring 11 points in 24 minutes.
Head Coach Brad Brownell is pleased with output to conclude the non-conference season:
Clemson (11-1) opens up ACC play on Saturday, December 30th in Raleigh when they visit NC State.
