Much has been made about coaches having to juggle the new frontier of recruiting with the early signing period alongside bowl prepartion, but Dabo Swinney insists he’s not worried.
Swinney spoke Tuesday as the Tigers hit the field for their second practice of bowl preparation for their matchup with Alabama.
Clemson’s coach said Alabama looks as good as they always have, complimenting their strength on both lines, and the use of Jalen Hurts as a runner and a passer.
The Tigers go into this game playing Alabama for the third consecutive season, and while Swinney said an organic rivalry has popped up, he believes it’s rooted in mutual respect.
Swinney also said LB Tre Lamar will practice in pads for the first time since returning from a back injury, and that CB Mark Fields should be good to go in the Sugar Bowl.
One player who won’t be available is LB Judah Davis, who will sit out due to a knee injury.
