RB Lyn-J Dixon of Butler, GA is one of those former Tennessee commitments now looking for a new college address. Clemson, which is looking for one running back for the class, is hard after him. Dixon made an official visit for The Citadel game and the Tigers are very much in play for him.
“It was great,” Dixon said of the visit. Clemson as some nice people. The atmosphere around the college is amazing. I really enjoyed the visit.” Dixon brought his mother, sister, brother, grandparents and aunt on the visit and Travis Etienne was his player host.
“The Clemson offense would be a good scheme because the offense they run is similar to what we run so it wouldn’t be like a big transition coming from my high school and getting to know the plays.” Dixon was limited to six games this season due to torn ligaments in his ankle but he was able to return for his Senior Night game and the playoffs.
Dixon was considering signing December 20th but is now thinking about waiting until January because he’s not yet clear on a decision. He will visit Louisville December 8th, Oklahoma State December 15th and Alabama January 19th. And he said Tennessee could get back into with him depending on the coach that’s hired there.
Louisville, Tennessee and Alabama have been by to see him this week. Dixon said he does not have a favorite at this point but he said he does have big interest in Clemson.
