The Clemson Tigers wiped out a seven-point halftime deficit with big second-half run to defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes, 79-65, in Columbus Wednesday night.
Clemson shot 55 percent from the field including 10-of-19 from three-point land including a stretch where they hit seven consecutive shots to regain the lead.
Marcquise Reed led all scorers with 22 points and Shelton Mitchell returned to action after an getting injured against Texas Southern adding 19 points.
The Tigers improved to 2-0 all-time against Ohio State and 10-7 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Clemson’s victory was the seventh victory in eight tries for the ACC against the Big Ten.
Clemson returns home to play Sunday at Littlejohn Coliseum against UNC Asheville at 3 PM.
