Hassani Gravett poured in 15 second-half points after a foul-ridden first half, and South Carolina basketball improved to 2-0 with a 78-60 win over Western Michigan.
Gravett played just three minutes in the first half, picking up two quick fouls, but shook off the frustration to finish strong.
Four Gamecocks scored in double-figures with Chris Silva earning a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Frank Booker hit three from distance, scoring 14, and Maik Kostar added 10 points and six boards.
The Gamecocks stayed consistent shooting the basketball, averaging 46 percent from the field.
South Carolina Head Coach Frank Martin said he wishes he had prepared his team better.

USC now heads to Conway for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off drawing an early-morning assignment against Illinois State at 11:30 AM Thursday. Martin said his team will travel Tuesday night and hold practice Wednesday morning to get used to being ready to play that early.
